“Canon, you have a problem,” said like an Apollo 13 astronaut.

The corporate philosophy of Canon (according to their website) is KYOSEI. You can read it here.

It’s quite a lovely philosophy and I look forward to one day experiencing it.

However, of late I have not come across any Kyosei-ness in my dealings with Canon or their employees. As a very small purchaser of a worldwide product there never seems to be much recourse when things go against you. So, I sharpened my pencil and wrote a letter like they did in the olden days.

I’ll let you know if Canon U.S.A.’s president & CEO, Joe Adachi, responds.
